ALOÍSIO LOPES is the current National Secretary for Climate Change and former Director of the Department of Mitigation and Implementation Instruments of the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change-MMA. A federal civil servant since 2002, he coordinated the environment and climate change area of the Ministry of Finance for ten years, after having worked in the formulation and management of federal policies on food and nutritional security, rural credit and family farming, and civil protection and defense. He was a senior international consultant for the Inter-American Bank (IDB) in the area of climate finance and integrating climate change into the fiscal management agenda.

BRUNO FREIRE Chief Executive Officer of Austral Re since its inception in 2010/11, he is one of the company’s founding partners. CARLOS QUEIROZ is Director at SUSEP, responsible for Prudential Supervision and Reinsurance Supervision (DISUP). He also currently oversees the Prudential Regulation and Economic Studies Directorate (DIRPE). Mr. Queiroz holds degrees in Economics and Law from the University of São Paulo (USP). He served as Acting Superintendent of the Authority between January and April 2023 and has remained as Deputy Superintendent since then. CAROLINA VIEIRA is CEO of Olive Seguros, founder and host of The Surety Academy podcast, Director of the National Insurance and Pension Academy, Member of FENACOR's Guarantee Insurance Commission, Director of Sou Segura, as well as author and technical coordinator of several books on Guarantee Insurance.

With two decades of experience leading renowned multinational companies, Carolina has worked in Reinsurance, Insurance, Insurance Brokerage, and Reinsurance Brokerage before founding Olive Seguros, a brokerage specializing in Surety Bonds.

CLAUDIA PRATES She is the Director of Sustainability at the National Confederation of Insurance Companies (CNseg), a position she has held since May 2025. An executive with 28 years of experience at the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), she served as Director of the institution and, subsequently, as Director-General of the New Development Bank (NDB), responsible for the Americas. In 2023, she returned to BNDES as Head of Climate, leading the institution's climate strategy and actions and coordinating the Climate Investment Platform for Ecological Transformation (BIP). She holds a degree in Economics, with a Master's in Economics from UFRJ and an MBA in Finance from COPPEAD.

DANIEL CASTILLO

Vice President of Reinsurance at IRB(Re)

DANIEL CASTILLO, Vice President of Reinsurance at IRB(Re), who has worked in the reinsurance sector for 40 years, is a civil engineer who graduated from PUC in Rio Grande do Sul and has an MBA in Management and Marketing from Queen's University (Ontario, Canada). His career at IRB(Re) began in 2020 as a member of the Board and, three years later, he took on the role of VP in Reinsurance. A specialist in the technical areas of claims (in insurers) and underwriting (in reinsurers), the executive has also held various leadership positions in multinationals around the world such as Munich Re and General Re (Gen Re). Castillo had an extensive career at Gen Re, where he stayed for almost 27 years before joining IRB(Re). He was president of Gen Re in Mexico; senior vice president - regional head Continental Europe, Africa and Latin America; president of General Cologne Re Correduria de Seguros in Spain; president of General Re Sur in Argentina; regional head of P&C for Latin America, Spain and Portugal; member of the Global Executive Board and executive vice president of P&C Treaty for Continental Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Latin America. At the start of his professional career, he worked for Bradesco and SulAmérica Seguros.

Dyogo Oliveira

President of the Brazilian Insurance Confederation (CNseg)

DYOGO OLIVEIRA, President of the Brazilian Insurance Confederation (CNseg)- Economist, holding a master’s degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Brasília (UnB). He also holds an MBA in International Negotiations and Foreign Exchange from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), as well as a specialization in Public Policy and Government Management from the National School of Public Administration (ENAP).

Over the past two decades, he has held senior leadership positions in the Brazilian federal government, including Minister of Planning, Development and Management, President of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), Executive Secretary at the Ministries of Finance and Planning, and Deputy Secretary for Economic Policy at the Ministry of Finance. During this period, he also served as a member of the National Private Insurance Council (CNSP) and the National Supplementary Pension Council (CNPC).

Ainda no âmbito do governo, foi membro do Conselho Nacional de Seguros Privados (CNSP) e do Conselho Nacional de Previdência Complementar (CNPC). 

He played a central role in the design and implementation of major economic policies and structural reforms, including the federal government’s spending ceiling, pension and tax reforms, the release of FGTS and PIS/PASEP funds, the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC), the Minha Casa, Minha Vida housing program, the taxation of overseas corporate profits, and the privatization of IRB Brasil Re.

Mr. Oliveira also served as President of the National Association of Airport Management Companies (ANEAA), where he oversaw Brazil’s airport concession program, and during the same period held board positions at major companies in the finance and technology sectors. Since 2022, he has been President of CNseg, where he leads the strategic agenda of Brazil’s insurance sector, with astrong focus on innovation, regulatory advancement, and the role of insurance in supporting sustainable development.

Emerson Medeiros

Institutional Officer of Itaú Unibanco

EMERSON MEDEIROS He holds a degree in Business Administration and has the CFM certification from IBMEC. With 27 years of experience in the financial market, he began his professional career at Banco BBA Creditanstalt in 1999, which was acquired by Itaú Unibanco in 2002. Throughout his career, Emerson worked in various commercial areas, serving as an executive responsible for bank relationships, including financial institutions, SMEs, and large corporations. Currently, he is responsible for relationships within the insurance sector, encompassing Insurance Companies, Reinsurance Companies, Brokerages, Insurtechs, and MGAs.

Fernanda Guardado

Chief Economist at BNP Paribas Cardif

FERNANDA GUARDADO chief economist for Latin America at BNP Paribas since 2024. She was Director of International Affairs and Corporate Risk Management for Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) from 2021 until the end of 2023, a period during which he participated in monetary policy decisions and also represented the BCB on G20 and in other international forums.

Fernanda is an economist and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), where she also served as a professor.

She has a 20-year career in the Brazilian financial sector, having held positions as senior economist and chief economist at various banks and asset management firms, such as Vinci Partners and o Bocom BBM, before joining the BCB.

Ana Paula de Almeida Santos

Consultant and Full Counselor of the Board of Appeals for the National Private Insurance System

Ana Paula de Almeida Santos She is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience in the legal field. Currently serving as a consultant and Full Counsel for the Council of Appeals of the National Private Insurance System, she previously served as Director of Sustainability and Consumer Relations at CNseg, and was Legal and Compliance Director for major insurance companies such as Assurant and Akad Seguros, in addition to being Legal & Compliance Manager for companies like McDonald's and AON. Ana Paula holds a degree in Legal Sciences from Mackenzie University, an MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from FIA – Business School, and an LLM – Masters in Law from Ibmec. She participated in The Women Leadership Forum – held annually by Harvard Business School. She is a visiting Professor at IBMEC-DF in the Public Policy and ESG chair and at the Business and Insurance School in the Risk Management and ESG/Sustainability chairs. She served as State Counsel – Alternate for the OAB/SP – for the 22/24 triennium. She is an academic at ANSP – National Academy of Insurance and Social Security, and a member of AIDA.

Helena Venceslau

Director of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Ports and Airports

HELENA VENCESLAU She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economics from UnB, with a career at the National Treasury spanning over 28 years in the federal public sector. During her tenure, she held prominent positions such as President of the Public Company ABGF, Director at Susep, Director at the Ministry of Infrastructure, at the Ministry of Transport, and currently serves as Director of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Ports and Airports. She also served as Chair of the Board of Directors of INFRA S.A. and Alternate Advisor to CRSNSP. She is a specialist in the following matters: insurance, guarantees, guarantee funds, financing funds, debentures, concession contracts.

Henning Ludolphs

Managing Director of Hannover Re

HENNING LUDOLPHS joined the Hannover Re Group in 1989. With a background in mathematics, with an emphasis on computer science and economics, he began dedicating his career to structured reinsurance operations in 1991. In 2002, he took over as director of the non-life companies in Ireland, which at the time were the group's main vehicles for structured reinsurance. In 2008, he returned to Hannover, Germany, where he structured the insurance-linked securities (ILS) unit, focusing on the transfer of third-party reinsurance risks to the capital markets, as well as investments in ILS in the life and non-life segments. As of July 1, 2014, he became head of the Retrocessions and Capital Markets division, created from the integration of the group's protection area - responsible for contracting retrocessions to protect Hannover Re's balance sheet - with the ILS area. With his retirement scheduled for the end of 2026, he transferred his leadership responsibilities to his successors in October 2025. Currently, he continues to support his former teams and is also dedicated to initiatives aimed at reducing the protection gap in developing countries.

She is currently the Global Insurance Manager at Braskem, responsible for the governance and evolution of the global insurance program, as well as the company's Insurance Policy.

Possesses experience in the management of captive insurers and mutual insurers in the energy sector, such as EVEREN, as well as solid experience in the international placement of risks, relationships with global stakeholders, and management of high-impact claims in complex regulatory environments.

She holds a degree in Actuarial Science from PUC-SP, with postgraduate studies in Administration from Insper, an Executive MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral, and AIRM – Alarys International Risk Manager certification, combining technical rigor, strategic vision, and collaborative leadership in global corporate risk management.

João Thole He holds a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and has solid experience in Data Analysis. Before joining Gallagher FAC in 2023, he gained professional experience in Marketing with a focus on data analysis, developing strategies based on analytical insights.

MARIA NETTO is the Executive Director of the Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS). She previously worked at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as Principal Specialist in Capital Markets and Financial Institutions, and at the New Development Bank (NDB) as Head of the Financial Institutions and Markets Division.

Throughout her career, Maria has led programs that promote innovative financing strategies with local financial institutions and capital markets, helping expand financial inclusion and attract private investment in low-carbon and climate-resilient projects across Latin America and the Caribbean. Her work has covered key sectors such as land use, low-carbon agriculture, renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable infrastructure, and urban mobility.
